Farmer's Market Updates

August 22, 2020

Well it was another gorgeous sunny day at the market. We welcomed over 530 people. It’s wonderful to see how the market brings out not only the families, local farmers and crafters, but the students who come to volunteer every Saturday. A dedicated group of students come out each week to support vendors, staff and those in need of assistance. Their support truly remarkable and we couldn’t do it without them.

We also are happy to have welcomed two new vendors this past Saturday. ‘Marvy Mary’s Merch’ sells Pink Zebra Sprinkles which are tiny fragrant soy wax melts. The scents are irresistible on their own but can be combined to create your own customized scents to fit your taste perfectly. Coupled with flame free simmer pots and simmer lights in beautiful designs this combination creates amazing fragrances and fills your home with incredible scents. And secondly we have ‘Creations of Love’, a mother daughter team make handmade fairy furniture from material found in the forest. Each piece comes with a wish bottle and a handmade mini book.

You can catch the live market every Saturday until Oct 3.

See you at the Market!

It was another beautiful day at the market! So nice to see almost 500 patrons visiting and supporting the local vendors.

This past weekend we welcomed a new vendor – Ivy from Ivy Makes. Ivy is an artist with a passion for pottery. She loves the creation process of making products and working with her hands. She enjoys painting and drawing her decorative pieces; “I feel lucky to be starting a lifelong career making and selling my art”. Ivy is currently a student and will be attending art school next year.

Next week we are looking forward to welcoming Marvy Mary’s Merch. Look out for the Pink Zebra! That’s all I’m going to say, you’ll have to visit Marvy Mary’s Merch to find out the rest!

See you at the market!

Another week of great sunshine, local produce and artisanal goods and above all, the community feel that makes us smile. Last week 15 vendors and staff along with 570 people who attended the market, welcomed a brand new food vendor: Three Amigos Churros has joined the market offering mouth- watering, delicious churros. A must try!

Many of you will remember and have been asking for that amazing display of wood masterpieces. Well, wait no longer because Weezel’s Woodworking is coming back! You can find his wonderful work of art this Saturday at the market.

Whether you are a returning patron or coming for the first time, you will love our market vibe . Everything from speaking to friendly vendors, a welcome greeting from our wonderful student volunteers, listening to the Men of Note choir and bopping to your favourite tunes. The Stouffville Farmer’s Market is where you want to be: Saturdays from 1030: to 1:30pm.

See you at the market!

Hello Friends,

It was another beautiful day at the Stouffville Farmers Market. Under a sunny and clear blue sky, we welcomed over 620 patrons to the Market. With 12 regular vendors, we introduced two more new faces: Miss Marla Designs (makers of hand crafted bracelets) and Neo Foods (Greek olive oil and spreads). Their olive tapenade is truly delicious and I can’t wait to buy more! It was a fun and lively atmosphere, particularly with the Men of Note Choir performing a cappella! They sounded beautiful despite having to wear masks while they were singing. It’s all about staying safe and keeping others safe around you. If you want to enjoy Men of Note again, you will be able to catch them performing at the Farmer’s Market on Aug 8th. And I’ll see you there every Saturday until October 3!

Another successful day at the market!!

This past Saturday was a hot and bright, sunny summer day. 614 patrons beat the heat by joining us at the market. We had the pleasure of being serenaded by three local violinist sisters who put on a wonderful performance for those in attendance.

We welcomed two new vendors this week:
Chocola Chocola – more than just chocolates, it’s their wine jelly that will keep you coming back for more.
– Weezel’s Wood Working – words can’t explain the magic behind his edge wood work. You have to come and see it for yourself.

Thank you for allowing us to keep the market safe for everyone, by doing your part to follow the health guidelines and wearing masks and sanitizing your hands upon entry.

See you at next week’s market!
